GIVE TV, LLC (“GIVE”) reserves the right to change these Rules at any time, without notice:
In order to nominate a charity, you must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of nomination and reside in the United States.
All nominated charities must be based in the United States and must be a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization under Federal law at the time of nomination and any show airing.
A charity previously featured on GIVE is not eligible for nomination. Visit our website for a list of charities that have been previously featured on GIVE.
Nominated charities should demonstrate the following qualities:
Small, but mighty organization focused on helping under-resourced communities.
Effectively run charity with a demonstrated history of success and giving.
Inspiring mission and vision for the future.
Strong and positive leadership.
GIVE encourages you to share your Nomination on social media using the hashtag #NominateToGIVE tagging @GIVEecosystem and to follow GIVE on social media.
By submitting a Nomination, you expressly authorize GIVE to store, save, share, and publicize your Nomination, the contents of your Nomination, and any post or publication of your Nomination with the charity and the public via the show, social media, and/or any other means. By submitting a Nomination, you expressly waive your right to privacy to your Nomination, the contents of your Nomination, and any post or publication on any media of your Nomination.
GIVE may need to contact you regarding this Nomination. By submitting a Nomination, you expressly consent to GIVE personnel contacting you.
Employees of GIVE and of its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, sponsors, agents, brokers, suppliers, and the immediate family members (spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren) and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate as either nominators or as employees of nominated charities.
GIVE, in its sole discretion, may select any charity, nominated or otherwise, to appear on its content. The Nomination Period runs from October 31, 2019 through December 31, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The selection process is ongoing, and all charities nominated will be eligible throughout the Nomination Period, regardless of the nomination date, until GIVE makes the selection.
If the nominator or charity is ineligible or not in compliance with these Rules, the Nomination will be disqualified, and GIVE may select an alternate charity, time permitting. Due to the potential number of nominations,GIVE will not notify the charities or nominators of charities who are not selected.
Each Nomination must satisfy all of the Nomination Requirements:
The Nomination must be the original creation of nominator.
The nominator must either own all rights to the Nomination or otherwise have the right to submit the Nomination and to provide the rights to GIVE.
The Nomination must not infringe any third party’s intellectual property.
The Nomination must not contain illegal, indecent, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit content, or otherwise offensive material or inappropriate content.
The Nomination must not promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
The Nomination must be non-defamatory and must not invade any third party’s right of privacy or publicity.
The Nomination must otherwise be appropriate for publication, broadcast, or display.
If GIVE determines, in its sole discretion and at any time, that any Nomination or post and/or publication relating to any Nomination violates the Rules or is otherwise unsuitable, offensive, or in poor taste, GIVE reserves the right to disqualify the Nomination, without notice. GIVE also reserves the right to edit, modify, and/or revise any Nomination, in its sole discretion, as it deems necessary.
By submitting a Nomination, each nominator represents and warrants that the Nomination meets all of the Rules and that the distribution, reproduction, display and any other uses of any part of the Nomination by GIVE or its licensees as permitted herein will not infringe any third party rights. Each nominator further agrees to indemnify and hold GIVE harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, liabilities and causes of action of whatsoever nature that are based upon or arise out of any breach by such nominator of such warranties or representations made by nominator or of these Rules.
By submitting a Nomination, nominator grants to GIVE (and to those acting on its behalf) a non-exclusive, perpetual, world-wide, fully sub-licensable, royalty-free license (and waives all moral rights in and to the Nomination) to display or otherwise use the Nomination in connection with GIVE and as set forth herein.
